Art Exhibition of Ukrainian Zoos
The Odessa Literature Museum celebrated the grand opening of the first national project - «UA ZOO – ART», featuring an exhibition of paintings by employees from Ukraine's zoos.
Ivan Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the dedication of zoo staff in rescuing and preserving their charges, while also conducting educational activities that uplift the spirits of the people of Ukraine.
- We showcased the works of employees from four Ukrainian zoos at this exhibition, - stated the project initiator and director of the Odessa Zoo, Igor Bilyakov. - This exhibition unites zoo staff from the cities of Lutsk, Rivne, Mykolaiv, and Odessa. We aimed to highlight the creative and loving approach that zoo employees take towards their essential work during these times.
Musical performances were provided by soloists from the Odessa Municipal Theatre named after O. Salika and musicians from Arts School No. 5.
All participants received honorary certificates, engaged in creative endeavors, learned much about the zoological world, and acknowledged the artistic talents of Ukraine's zoo staff.
The organizer of the national project «UA ZOO – ART» is the KУ «Odessa Zoo», with the idea proposed by Bilyakov I.V.
