Domestic Disputes and Dangerous Discoveries
Recently, a woman from the Kuyalnik community reported to the police about domestic violence perpetrated by her husband, which led to grave consequences.
It turned out that the couple had an argument over everyday misunderstandings. The husband, under the influence of alcohol, reacted aggressively towards his wife and threatened her. Police also learned that he had concealed dangerous items in their garden, which he had brought back from the war zone.
Law enforcement officials seized a mine, several grenades, and thousands of rounds of ammunition from the property, which were deemed explosive materials. Based on the evidence, the husband was charged with illegal possession of military supplies, which could lead to significant imprisonment.
Additionally, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the husband for domestic violence against his wife, which could result in fines or imprisonment. All materials have been submitted to court.
Authorities encourage anyone suffering from violence to reach out for help to the police or hotlines. It is crucial not to face these challenges alone.
Remember, individuals who voluntarily surrender illegal firearms are not subject to criminal liability. A campaign for declaring weapons is ongoing in Ukraine, allowing individuals to avoid legal repercussions.
