Arrest of Homeless Man for Car Arson
Law enforcement has apprehended a 50-year-old homeless man for setting a car on fire. He committed the act as revenge against the owner. The suspect has been charged and faces up to 10 years in prison.

Recently, emergency services contacted the police regarding a fire in a Volkswagen vehicle on a street in the Peresyp district. Within three hours, investigators identified the 50-year-old man as the arsonist.
Investigators seized various pieces of evidence for forensic analysis. They determined that the individual acted out of revenge against a 30-year-old car owner for not allowing him to enter the entrance of the apartment building where his friend lives.
"We detained the suspect and charged him with intentional damage to someone else's property through arson. According to Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, this crime is punishable by up to ten years of imprisonment. The court has chosen a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail set at 121,120 UAH. The extent of damages to the victim is currently being established. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Suvorov District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa," said Natalia Mrochkо, deputy head of the investigative unit of Police Department No. 3 of the Odesa District Police Department No. 1.
