A man stabbed his acquaintance twice in the stomach and chest. He faces up to eight years in prison for the act.

The incident occurred last week in the evening on 7th Peresyp Street in Odessa, where the two men met by chance. A drunken 42-year-old local man confronted his 27-year-old acquaintance, accusing him of not returning money for a power bank he had bought. During the ensuing conflict, the older man stabbed the younger one in the stomach and chest before fleeing the scene.

Passersby called an ambulance for the injured Odessa resident. Doctors hospitalized the patient and informed the police about the incident. Currently, the man is in the hospital with stab wounds to the abdominal wall and chest, penetrating into the pleural cavity.

The victim was in critical condition and could not tell who had attacked him. However, police quickly located the offender by using a service dog that picked up the trail and led them to the suspect.
