A 20-year-old offender has been charged and faces serious legal consequences. He is at risk of significant prison time.

Local patrol officers apprehended the young man on the Health Trail while he was attempting to distribute drug «deposits». The investigative team from the Odessa District Police Department seized 22 zip bags containing psychotropic substances, which were later confirmed by tests.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that the suspect was receiving illegal substances via the internet, packaging them at home, and distributing them through «deposits» using his mobile phone. He recorded the addresses and photos of buyers, which are now part of the evidence.

Investigator Marina Yermolenko stated that based on sufficient evidence, the suspect was charged under parts 1 and 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition, possession for sale, and distribution of psychotropic substances. The court has placed him in custody with the possibility of bail set at 60,565 hryvnias. Under current legislation, the offender could face up to 10 years in prison along with asset confiscation.

The police will continue to identify individuals involved in drug trafficking during the investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
