Tragedy in Odesa: Teen Dies from Electric Shock
Authorities in Odesa are investigating the circumstances surrounding the electrocution of two teenage boys. One of them has died, while the other sustained serious injuries. Rescuers were on the scene to assist the victim down from the roof of the train car.
According to police, the incident occurred yesterday evening, March 9, near the railway station on Baltska Road, after a passerby reported it. Initial findings indicate that the two boys climbed onto a stationary train, where they were electrocuted. One of them, a 16-year-old, suffered fatal injuries. The 13-year-old was rescued from the roof and taken to medical personnel.
"Rescuers used a three-legged ladder and rope to bring the injured boy down, who was subsequently hospitalized in serious condition. The circumstances of the event are still being investigated," reported the State Emergency Service.
