Under the supervision of the Malinovsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa, a 38-year-old man has been charged with distributing pornographic materials, sexual violence, and harassment against a minor (Part 2 of Article 301, Part 3 of Article 156-1, and Parts 4, 6 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect found a 10-year-old girl's account on the messaging platform «Telegram». Understanding her age, he pretended to be a 12-year-old boy to gain her trust and initiate communication.

During their conversations, he sent the child pornographic images and videos, and attempted to psychologically manipulate her into agreeing to meet while hiding their communication from her parents.

After receiving consent from the victim, he arranged three meetings in remote, deserted locations. Taking advantage of her age, which limited her ability to resist both physically and mentally, he repeatedly committed acts of sexual violence against her.

It was also established that a similar indictment against him is already being considered in the Uman City District Court of Cherkasy region.

Currently, at the request of the prosecution, a preventive measure of detention has been chosen for the suspect.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the VPU No. 1 of the ODPU No. 1 of the National Police in Odessa region.
