Investigation of Truck Driver's Murder in Odesa Region

The accused face life imprisonment.
In early November, the body of a 29-year-old truck driver from the Bolhrad region was discovered on the roadside in the village of Avangard, showing signs of physical injury.
Investigators from the local police department opened a criminal case the same day. It was established that a 40-year-old neighbor and a 37-year-old resident of Odesa were involved in the man's death.
During the investigation, police gathered sufficient evidence, based on which the suspects were charged in absentia with premeditated murder committed by a group of individuals in collusion. According to Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, this crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
The suspects have been declared wanted. Efforts are being made to locate and apprehend them. As part of the proceedings, several forensic examinations have been scheduled, including a forensic medical examination to determine the exact cause of death of the victim. The procedural supervision is conducted by the Chornomorsk District Prosecutor's Office.
Law enforcement officials are asking citizens to report any information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted individuals, depicted in the photo, by contacting the local police department at ‪+380 97 647 1940‬ or the emergency line 102. The individuals are: Mykola Ivanovych Vartan, born 06.06.1988, and Ivan Dmytrovych Avramov, born 08.09.1985.
