Last night, November 22, around 7 PM, a traffic incident happened on the road connecting Kryve Ozero and Balta, within the boundaries of the Lyubashivka community.
Investigators found that a 57-year-old driver of a ‘Land Rover’ was inattentive and hit a pedestrian who suddenly entered the roadway.
The 54-year-old victim was hospitalized with various injuries.
The driver was unharmed, and a sobriety test confirmed he was sober.
Authorities have opened a case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, regarding the violation of traffic safety regulations that resulted in moderate bodily injuries to the victim.
A series of forensic examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation. The inquiry is ongoing, and the full circumstances of the incident are being established.
Police once again urge all road users to strictly adhere to traffic regulations. Drivers are advised to pay close attention to road conditions and pedestrians should cross only at designated areas and use reflective elements at night.
