Arson of Luxury Vehicle in Odesa During Curfew
Recently, a scandal erupted in Odesa following the arson of a luxury «TESLA» vehicle during curfew hours. A young man, who had recently moved to the city, received an offer from a stranger to set fire to a car for financial reward. However, the promised payment never arrived.
Authorities from the Odesa region are investigating the case, confirming that the 19-year-old suspect, who is currently unemployed, met the curator via a messaging app and agreed to carry out the criminal task. After the arson, he filmed the act and sent it to the client, but did not receive any monetary compensation.
Fortunately, no one was harmed in the fire, and local residents managed to extinguish the flames. The police arrested the young man and seized physical evidence related to the crime. Investigators classified the suspect's actions under Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a penalty of up to ten years in prison. The court imposed a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail.
