Arrest of Drug Dealer in Odesa
Police officers in Odesa have apprehended a local resident suspected of engaging in drug-related crimes involving large quantities. The individual has been charged, facing a potential prison sentence of up to eight years.
In an operation based on gathered intelligence, law enforcement conducted a search at the home of the 45-year-old suspect and on his rented land in the Taivor community.
During the search, they discovered a greenhouse containing both whole and crushed dried cannabis. The total weight of the seized drugs exceeded 55 kg. Experts confirmed their narcotic content.
The suspect admitted to ordering cannabis seeds online and cultivating the plants for personal use.
Investigators have charged him with illegal acquisition, production, and storage of drugs in large amounts under the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has placed him under house arrest.
The preliminary investigation continues, with all circumstances being established.
The process is supervised by the Chornomorsk district prosecutor's office.
It is important to note that according to the law, individuals who voluntarily seek treatment for drug addiction may be exempt from criminal liability.
