Accident in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi: Two Young Sisters Injured

Authorities are investigating the details of a traffic accident in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, where two sisters aged 18 and 7 were injured. The incident occurred yesterday, October 2, in the evening on Mykolaivska Street.
Preliminary information indicates that a 34-year-old woman driving a «Toyota» lost control while reversing out of a parking space, colliding with two parked vehicles, a «Mazda» and a «Peugeot», and also hitting the girls who were on the sidewalk.
Medics transported the injured pedestrians to the hospital with various injuries. The driver was unharmed and was found sober after a breathalyzer test.
A response team from the patrol police and the investigative unit of the district police were on the scene.
According to the head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district police department, Pavlo Bobchynskyi, investigators registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concerning violations of road safety rules resulting in moderate bodily harm.
A series of expert examinations will be conducted as part of the proceedings. The pre-trial investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district prosecutor's office.
The police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and remain cautious and attentive behind the wheel.
