A tragic event took place yesterday afternoon in a village of the Balt community, involving a collision between a car and a motorcycle. According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department of the police in the Odessa region, it has been preliminarily established that a 65-year-old driver of a 'VAZ' car failed to ensure the safety of his maneuver while making a turn, leading to a collision with a 59-year-old motorcyclist who was traveling in the same direction.
As a result of the traffic accident, the motorcyclist unfortunately lost his life, while the car driver was unharmed. A breathalyzer test showed he was sober. Currently, an investigative team is working on the case along with officers from the local police unit. Authorities are determining all circumstances surrounding the event, and considerations are being made to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.

Authorities once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules: do not exceed speed limits, avoid sharp maneuvers, and pay close attention to road conditions to react promptly to changes.
