Crime in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi: Seven Years in Prison

The perpetrator will serve seven years in prison for his actions.
The incident occurred in October of last year in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. During the pre-trial investigation overseen by the prosecutor's office, it was established that the suspect followed a 64-year-old woman heading to the market. Upon catching up with her, he snatched her bag containing money, a phone, bank cards, and documents, and fled the scene.
The total value of the stolen property exceeded ten thousand hryvnias.
The woman sought help from passersby, who called the police.
Law enforcement quickly identified and apprehended the criminal, a 41-year-old local resident. During a sanctioned search of his residence, the stolen items were found and returned to the victim.
According to the head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi police department, Pavlo Bobchynskyi, the suspect was detained and a court request for pre-trial detention was granted. After gathering sufficient evidence, the police charged him with robbery committed during martial law. The indictment was sent to court. 
The court reviewed the case, found him guilty, and sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment.
