The police are investigating the circumstances of a traffic accident that took place yesterday, July 25, around 4 PM on Shkilna Street in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. A 55-year-old driver of a Renault hit a 38-year-old pedestrian crossing the road improperly.

The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a leg fracture.

The driver was tested for intoxication and was found sober.

According to the head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department, Pavlo Bobchynskyi, investigators have entered the information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses violations of traffic safety rules resulting in moderate bodily harm.

The vehicle has been seized, and a series of forensic examinations will be conducted.
Investigators are working to establish all the details of the incident.
