In Odesa's Peresyp district, police have detained a foreigner who, while intoxicated, became responsible for a fatal traffic accident.

The investigative department of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa has registered the case under Article 286-1, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concerning violations of traffic safety rules leading to the death of a victim.

The suspect was arrested in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and authorities are deciding on bringing charges.

As part of the investigation, vehicles have been seized, and a series of expert examinations will be conducted.
