Authorities have charged a 66-year-old woman who ignited a fire in the Khadjibey district of Odesa. The illegal actions of the elderly woman led to the destruction of two municipal waste bins and damage to a garage and a local resident's vehicle. The perpetrator faces criminal liability for her actions.

The incident occurred in June during the evening near residential buildings on Balkivska Street. The elderly resident set fire to one plastic waste container, which caused another nearby container to catch fire. The flames then spread to a nearby garage and the vehicle inside it.

Local residents spotted the fire and alerted the State Emergency Service, who extinguished the blaze. Fortunately, no one was injured, but municipal property was destroyed, resulting in damages exceeding 13,000 hryvnias. Additionally, a 34-year-old local man incurred material losses: repairs for his «Volkswagen Tiguan» will cost nearly 171,000 hryvnias, while damages related to the garage are still being assessed by experts.
