Authorities in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa are looking into the circumstances of a traffic accident that resulted in injuries to a pedestrian. The incident occurred on July 11 around noon in the village of Vypasne. 

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 61-year-old tractor driver, while moving through a narrow alley, struck a 38-year-old pedestrian. 

The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a leg fracture. 

The driver was tested for intoxication and was found sober.

According to Pavlo Bobchynskyi, the head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi police department, investigators have entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This relates to violations of traffic safety rules leading to moderate bodily harm.

As part of the investigation, the vehicle has been seized, and several forensic examinations will be conducted.

The full circumstances of the accident are being established. 

The police once again urge drivers and pedestrians to strictly adhere to traffic laws, remain cautious, and pay close attention to road conditions.
