Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a road accident in the Bolhrad district of the Odesa region, which left three people injured. The incident took place on July 1st during the day on the road between the villages of Kubey and Orikhivka.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 22-year-old resident of the Izmail region lost control of his 'Ford' vehicle, leading to it leaving the roadway and overturning.

As a result of the crash, the driver and two passengers, aged 18 and 22, sustained injuries and were hospitalized with various traumas.

The driver was tested for intoxication and was found to be sober.

A criminal investigation team and the patrol police from the Bolhrad district were on the scene.

Investigators have registered the incident under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of traffic safety regulations causing moderate bodily harm. In the course of the investigation, the vehicle was seized and several forensic examinations will be conducted. All circumstances of the event are being established.

Police urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules, remain vigilant about road conditions, avoid speeding, and refrain from sudden maneuvers.
