Authorities are investigating the injury of an 11-year-old boy in the Rozdilna district of the Odesa region. The incident took place on the evening of June 27 in a village within the Zakharivka community, as reported by medical personnel.

Preliminary investigations revealed that during a game near an uninhabited building, a 10-year-old boy accidentally shot his 11-year-old friend in the chest with an air rifle, which had been given to him by his father.

The injured boy has been hospitalized.

A forensic team from the local police department is currently on the scene.

Once all circumstances are established, the incident will be legally qualified.
