A tragic incident unfolded a few days ago in a village within the Bilayaivka community.

Upon receiving a report of the death of a two-month-old boy, a investigative team from the Odesa District Police Department No. 2 arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 33-year-old woman fell asleep with her son, and upon waking, discovered the child unresponsive.

The infant's body has been sent for forensic examination. Initial findings suggest that pneumonia may have caused the child's death. 

The woman lives with two other children aged 4 and 7. The family is under the care of social services. 

Information regarding the child's death has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under the signs of paragraph 2 of part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, marked as 'natural death', and Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (willful failure to fulfill parental duties).
