Authorities seized illegal drugs from a man who intended to sell them. He has been charged and a preventive measure has been imposed. The suspect faces imprisonment. 

Officers from the Odesa District Police Department #1 discovered a man on Novoselsky Street preparing to make «drops» for drug distribution while patrolling the area.

The police confiscated eight packets containing a crystalline substance from him, along with two additional packets from hidden spots. An express test confirmed the presence of illegal drugs in one of the packets.

During an urgent search of the suspect's residence, law enforcement found another packet with a similar substance, scales, and packaging materials. Additionally, a mobile phone revealed that he had been ordering drugs online for further sale.

All substances have been sent for examination, and the perpetrator was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

«We have sufficient evidence to charge him under Part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition and storage of drugs with the intent to sell. This offense is punishable by imprisonment for up to eight years. The court has chosen a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail set at 242,240 UAH. We will continue to investigate the supply channel of drugs to this man and the full circle of individuals involved in this crime. The investigation is ongoing under the guidance of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odesa. All circumstances of the crime are being established,» stated investigator Natalia Leshchenko.
