A woman in Odessa has been arrested for promising girls jobs as maids, only to exploit them in sexual slavery. Investigators have charged her, facing up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was conducted by migration police and investigators as part of the European operation «Global Chain». The woman conspired with unidentified individuals to recruit Ukrainian women for providing intimate services in a European Union country.

She sought girls among acquaintances, promising them free airfare and high salaries. For each girl she recruited, the woman received a fee.

Police apprehended her while she was attempting to recruit another girl. She has been charged with recruiting and trafficking individuals for exploitation through deception.

The court has placed her under house arrest. Investigations continue, with law enforcement working to identify all individuals involved in this criminal activity.
