Police Arrest Drug Dealer in Odesa
Investigators have seized over 20 packages containing dangerous narcotics. The suspect has been charged, facing a lengthy prison sentence.
Officers from the local police department caught the suspect during patrols in the Peresyp district.
The investigative team arrived at the scene and found 4 packages of synthetic drugs on the 24-year-old man, along with 15 additional packages he had hidden. During a search of his home, another 4 packets of narcotics were discovered.
The police confirmed the contents of the seized substances using an express test and sent samples for examination.
According to the young man, he purchased the drugs through messaging apps with the intention of selling them via 'drops' for profit.
“The drug dealer was detained and charged under Part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the illegal purchase, storage, and distribution of narcotics, he faces up to eight years in prison. Authorities are currently investigating the supply channel through which the drugs reached the suspect. Investigative actions are ongoing under the supervision of the Sukhumi District Prosecutor's Office,” said Natalia Mrochko, deputy head of the investigative unit.
