Odesa Students to Return to Classrooms Starting April 14
Starting Monday, April 14, Odesa schoolchildren can return to in-person classes provided that classroom temperatures surpass 17 degrees Celsius. Each school will make this decision independently.
This was reported on April 13 by the director of the city’s education department, Olena Buinevych.
Class teachers are required to inform parents about the situation in their schools.
«Today, all schools will check the temperature. If it exceeds +17°C, we will resume in-person classes. School directors and teachers are just as eager for in-person learning as parents and children. The end of last week confirmed the necessity for remote learning, so we act according to the Sanitary Regulations,» Buinevych stated.
It is worth noting that due to a sharp drop in temperatures, Odesa schools switched to remote learning starting April 8. This decision led to discontent among parents who believe that children should attend school.
