This January, educators assigned to teach the «Defending Ukraine» course in newly established centers attended a practical seminar on shooting training at the «Stvol Shooting Sports Club».

Teachers received valuable theoretical and practical knowledge about various types of firearms from professional instructors.

During the seminar, participants refined their understanding of safety, teaching methods for shooting, and handling specialized equipment and combat weapons.

The event was organized by the «Odesa City Center for Military-Patriotic Education» with the assistance of the Odesa City Council's Department of Education and Science.

An open lesson on the «Defending Ukraine» course was held at Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bistrina, conducted by honored teacher of Ukraine Oleg Denysov.

The new model educational program «Defending Ukraine. Integrated Course» aims to foster patriotic consciousness and a value system, as well as develop practical skills for preserving life. Its uniqueness lies in a unified content for all students, ensuring equal opportunities in gaining essential skills.

Thanks to the program update, high school students will be able to:

- learn about different types of drones and their applications;

- provide first aid in combat situations;

- practice shooting skills;

- understand what information warfare is and how to resist hostile information-psychological operations (IPSO).
