Innovative Approaches in Urban Planning: Insights from the Conference
The First Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Oleksandr Filatov, welcomed participants of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference on «Innovative Technologies in Urban Planning».
The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
In his opening remarks, Oleksandr Filatov emphasized that since the onset of military aggression by the Russian Federation, the city authorities have faced pressing issues regarding the restoration of damaged and destroyed buildings, many of which are architectural and historical landmarks.
«Equally important today is the planning of territories and the development of urban planning documentation considering how they should look after the end of hostilities. Scientific insights that incorporate professional experience and innovative technologies are essential. I hope the conference will produce materials that assist in the ongoing restoration of our city and country,» - emphasized the First Deputy Mayor.
The V International Conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with support from various institutions, including the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and international partners.
