Supporting Students' Mental Health: New Initiatives in Odesa

04 December 2024

In November, a series of activities were implemented in Odesa's educational institutions to support students' mental health as part of the nationwide 'How Are You?' program.

Among the activities introduced were training sessions on 'Preserving Mental Health. The World of Emotions - Our Resource', class hours titled 'How Are You?' and 'Emotions and Their Impact', as well as games designed to enhance emotional intelligence, such as 'The World of Emotions' and 'First Aid Kit'.

Additionally, students who relocated from temporarily occupied territories participated in discussions about 'My Mental Health', physical activities, and creative workshops.

Parents and educators also took part in the 'Safe Space' training, where they discussed the emotional well-being of children at the start of the school year. Individual consultations and useful resources were provided for them.

To ensure access to information regarding mental health, materials from the 'How Are You?' program, QR codes with recommendations, and advice for parents and teachers were published on educational institutions' websites.
