In celebration of Teacher's Day, a wonderful event called «Warm Wave» took place in educational institutions in Odesa, uniting educators, students, and their parents for good causes.

Students and teachers organized fairs where they sold handmade items lovingly prepared by their families.

The atmosphere in schools was incredibly warm and sincere. A total of 2,156,360.42 UAH was raised at the fair.

«I extend my heartfelt thanks to the educators of Odesa, the children, and every family that participated in the fairs and contests, as well as to Natalia Kartasheva for supporting our defenders,» said Olena Buinevych, the head of the Department of Education and Science.

The funds were collected via «Monobank» and were transferred to the account of the «Southern Shore» Charity Fund after the event ended.

«We have already received our first critical orders - tourniquets and bandages. These items are directly related to saving lives,» noted Natalia Kartasheva, a representative of the fund.

A tourniquet is an essential tool for stopping critical bleeding in field conditions. The bandage applies pressure to the injured vessel, effectively halting both venous and arterial bleeding, especially after wound packing, and prevents excessive blood loss.
