Finale of the National IT Championship "Ecosoft"

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in collaboration with the National Eco-Naturalist Center for Student Youth held an online finale of the National IT Championship "Ecosoft" and the national stage of the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024.

Based on the results of the national championship, the Ukrainian team has been formed for the finale of the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024, scheduled for May 31 to June 4, 2024, in Bucharest, Romania.

In the super final, eight students from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 represented their city, showcasing projects in programming, computer animation, 3D modeling, and short film production. For most participants, this was their debut in competitions.

During the national championship, the lyceum students earned one first-degree diploma, two second-degree diplomas, and three third-degree diplomas.

The winners and prize-winners who will compete as part of the Ukrainian team at the international competition INFOMATRIX-2024 are:

- Yegor Bovkun, a 10th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 with a 3D project titled "Model of the First Helicopter in the World";

- Ruslan Masyko and Ivan Zmiyevskiy, 8th-grade students from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 with the film "The Meaning of Life and My Place in It".

The students were assisted in their project preparations by computer science teachers Oleg Pustovoyt and Alla Omelchenko from Odesa Lyceum No. 65.

This year, students from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 achieved a notable record by representing Ukraine in project technology competitions at the international level for the eighth consecutive time. The unique experience of Odesa Lyceum No. 65 since 2016 has been invaluable for organizing national events. Teachers and alumni were among the organizers and judges of the championship. The youngest judge of the competitions was 11th-grade student Yuliya Butuk, who has participated in and won prizes in the last three world finals of INFOMATRIX. Computer science teacher Oleg Pustovoyt was appointed as one of the three curators to prepare the Ukrainian team for the international final.
