Free DevOps Course for Veterans: Registration Open
The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, in collaboration with the Lobby X recruiting platform and SoftServe IT company, announces the launch of a free DevOps Fundamentals course for veterans, military personnel, and families of fallen defenders.
The course includes:
- basics of Git/GitHub;
- Linux: file system structure and administration tasks;
- scripting languages Bash and PowerShell;
- network support concepts: protocols, IP addresses, subnetting, and routing;
- working with popular CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions;
- cloud providers IaaS, PaaS/Hosting;
- working with AWS, Azure, and GCP services;
- artifacts in DevOps and their role in development;
- soft skills essential for the IT industry;
- job searching tips, resume preparation, etc.
The knowledge gained during the course will help participants master the basics of DevOps, manage databases, configure working environments, and optimize project deployment processes. This will enable future DevOps specialists to implement changes and automate processes at every stage of development.
Classes will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the Zoom platform. Experienced mentors will introduce theoretical concepts and review practical assignments.
Recordings of the lectures will be available for those who cannot join live.
The course starts on February 3 and lasts for 9 weeks.
What you need to participate:
a laptop (computer), internet access, time for homework.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.
Registration is open until January 29 (inclusive) by filling out the form.
The number of spots in the course is limited, so after registration, participants will need to complete a small test on basic concepts and create a Discord account.
