Internet Safety for Youth: New Challenges and Solutions
As part of the Internet Safety Day, a series of interactive lectures titled “Fundamentals of Information Security” and “Cyber Threats in Our Lives” were held for students in Odessa. The primary goal of these lectures is to educate children on navigating the information landscape and recognizing false information.
The lectures, conducted by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer from the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity at Odessa National Technological University, covered topics such as media literacy basics, safe smartphone usage, the dangers of free Wi-Fi networks, and the impact of information manipulation and enemy actions in the online space.
This series of lectures is an important step in raising children's awareness about cybersecurity and will help them feel more confident in the digital environment.
