Coffee with Education: A Support Initiative in Odessa
In Odessa, a new initiative called "Coffee with Education" has been launched.
This initiative, proposed by the Department of Education and Science last year, has gained support from the local community and has become a tradition in our city.
At school fairs, everyone can buy delicious treats made with love by our children, parents, and teachers.
Every cup of coffee purchased is not just a fragrant drink, but also a contribution to our collective victory.
"This coffee initiative has once again united us around a common goal – to help those who are defending our country daily. All funds raised will be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces so that our soldiers feel our support and gratitude," said the Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.
The Director of the Department of Education and Science, Olena Buinevich, thanked everyone for their incredible support, noting that within a few days, "Coffee with Education" has raised nearly 1.7 million hryvnias.
Additionally, treats and gifts from children have been delivered to veterans undergoing rehabilitation.

In Odessa, rehabilitation departments operate in almost all city hospitals, but inpatient care is only part of the long process of integrating veterans into civilian life. Next steps include adaptive sports, professional retraining, or starting a business that will allow a person with disabilities to meet their and their family’s needs.
