Digital Transformation in Odessa Education: The Launch of 'Mriya'
According to Oleksandr Lonchak, the introduction of the 'Mriya' platform marks a significant advancement in the management of education, aiming for transparency and modernity that benefits students, teachers, and parents alike.
Recently, a final online presentation was held for the heads of educational institutions in Odessa region to showcase the platform's capabilities.
«Starting from September, all schools in the region will operate within the 'Mriya' digital environment, connecting all participants in the educational process in one electronic space,» he noted.
What is 'Mriya'?
'Mriya' is a free digital platform that integrates all key elements of school life: schedules, grades, homework, chats, achievement analytics, and a library of educational materials. It is developed and implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program.
The platform includes:
- electronic journals;
- interactive schedules;
- feedback systems;
- resources for students and teachers;
- tools for organizing learning and communication.
Benefits of 'Mriya'
For Students: the platform offers personalized learning, a motivation system using 'Mriya' currency redeemable for real rewards, and access to extracurricular activities. Students can obtain e-textbooks, individual recommendations, and assignments, as well as view educational videos.
For Teachers: 'Mriya' automates routine tasks, allows for schedule creation, homework checking (including automatic checks), maintaining electronic journals, and communicating with students and parents through secure chats. It features extensive databases of ready-made tests, lessons, presentations, and educational guides.
For Parents: the platform ensures transparent access to their child's academic achievements, streamlines communication with educators, and assists in selecting extracurricular activities.
Preparation for the external independent evaluation (ZNO) and state assessment (DPA): The platform includes special modules for preparing for state certification, featuring tests and error analysis.
Currently, preparations for its implementation are underway, including teacher training and technical connections of schools.
'Mriya' is being developed at the national level and aims to cover all educational institutions in Ukraine by the end of 2025, creating a unified, accessible, and convenient educational environment.
