Opening of a New Exhibition: Light in the Darkness
On May 7 at 3:00 PM, a grand opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Polish-Ukrainian photo project «Letters to the Future» will take place at the ART space of the Library on European Street, 67.
This project was initiated as a response to the ongoing military actions in Ukraine, calling for empathy, understanding, and support. It emphasizes that shared values such as freedom, dignity, and justice are universal for all nations.
In its struggle against aggression, Ukraine demonstrates great strength and resilience. Amid challenges, it actively preserves and develops its culture and art, which play a crucial role in maintaining national identity. Artists during war bear the mission of providing hope and emotions, fostering the preservation and revival of the national spirit, and creating cultural values that will serve as beacons for future generations.
The photo exhibition «Letters to the Future» serves as a unique message from the Polish people, bringing light even in darkness.
The cycle of exhibitions began in December 2024 at the Municipal Gallery of Sumy, continuing in 2025 through Lviv, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Dnipro, Rivne, Chernihiv, Odesa, and later in Kharkiv, Lublin, and Warsaw.
The exhibition features 49 photographs from 27 authors, including renowned Polish artists and winners of numerous competitions: Aleksandra Shmigel, Amina Ksenzhopolska, Anna Mihalyak, and others.
The works are distinguished by technical mastery and profound meaning, prompting reflections on human resilience, the strength of spirit, and the importance of unity for peace.
