Artistic Revival: Exhibition by Inna Rusina
On April 26, the Odessa Municipal Museum of Personal Collections named after O.V. Bleschunov will launch a new exhibition dedicated to the art of Inna Rusina. Titled «Artistic Revival», the exhibition will showcase the impressive talents of the master, who combines restoration skills with artistic expression.
This was confirmed by museum representatives.
Inna Rusina, awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree for her contributions to national restoration, has been working in this field since 1987, starting with the establishment of the Odessa branch of the National Restoration Center of Ukraine.
She has been an active participant in art exhibitions since 1979 and a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1990. Her works are preserved in several museums and private collections worldwide.
The exhibition will be divided into two main halls:
Hall «Restoration»
Here, six restored works will be presented, which have been restored from 1992 to 2023 under the guidance of Inna Rusina. Each exhibit is accompanied by informational stands highlighting the restoration process.
In the context of war in Ukraine, restoration centers are becoming particularly important. Inna Rusina emphasizes that specialists are engaged not only in restoration but also in the inspection and preservation of collections.
Exhibits need to be properly packaged to be stored in optimal conditions, she notes.
Unlike previous decades, there are now highly qualified specialists working in this field.
Kharkiv restorers have been collaborating with the center for over ten years, and Rusina recalls how she previously trained many artists aspiring to become restorers.
Hall «Inspiration»
In this part of the exhibition, visitors will be able to enjoy the painted works of Inna Rusina.
Fifteen paintings in the genres of still life, portrait, and landscape reflect her unique style developed over years of creativity.
She admits that Sandro Botticelli had a significant influence on her, as she has seen his works twice at the Uffizi Gallery.
«You need to see the paintings in person. The impressions they leave cannot be expressed in words,» shares Inna Rusina.
