Announcement of the K.G. Paustovsky Literary Contest
The centralized urban library system for adults in Odessa is pleased to announce the opening of submissions for the annual literary contest named after K.G. Paustovsky.
Entries and nominations for the K.G. Paustovsky prize will be accepted until May 20, 2025.
The contest is held in five categories:
- “Prose”;
- “Poetry”;
- “Promotion of K.G. Paustovsky's work”;
- “Local Studies”;
- “Maritime Literature”.
Submissions must be literary works that promote universal moral values, personal spiritual growth, and love for one's homeland.
The works submitted must be published as a separate edition or as part of a collection, anthology, and released in the current or previous years.
Nominations for the prize in the “Promotion of K.G. Paustovsky's work” category can be submitted by creative, public, cultural, and scientific organizations.
In the “Maritime Literature” category, participants may include writers, artists, and organizers of socio-cultural projects related to the sea.
Each participant can only enter one category.
Each participant may only win once in each specific category.
The results of the contest will be announced by May 25, 2025.
Awarding of winners and participants is scheduled for May 31, 2025.
