Cultural Festival in Vienna: Golden Violins of Odesa
In October this year, the capital of Austria will host the cultural conference «Days of Friendship», which will feature the festival «Golden Violins of Odesa» on October 18.
This event was discussed between Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and Vienna's municipal administration representative Mr. Thomas Resh during their meeting.
«It is important for us to introduce the world to Ukrainian culture. Almost all festival participants are graduates of the legendary Odesa School named after Stolyarsky. We are very grateful for the opportunity to hold such a significant cultural event,» said the Mayor of Odesa.
During the meeting, they also talked about other areas of cooperation, particularly Vienna's experience with UNESCO, as its historic center has been part of the World Heritage List since 2001.
«We are very pleased that our city has been chosen to host this conference and festival. We are ready to provide all necessary assistance,» Mr. Resh emphasized.
The Viennese side also proposed to organize a round table to discuss issues related to the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and the management of UNESCO sites in Vienna.
