Cultural Exchange: Odesa and Venice Unite in Concert
As part of the Odesa Days in Venice, a spectacular concert took place at the renowned Teatro La Fenice — one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. This event marked a significant milestone in cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and Italy, showcasing the close connections between Odessa and Venice.
On stage, prominent Odesa artists performed: world-class violinist Georgiy Sokolov, pianist Anastasia Melnyk, and singer Anastasia Bukina. They delivered a captivating program that blended classical masterpieces with contemporary interpretations. The highlight of the concert was the authentic Odesa songs, which added a unique flavor to the evening. This performance served as an emotional kickoff for a series of cultural events set to unfold in Venice.
Odesa's Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov expressed gratitude to Venice's Mayor Luigi Brugnaro for his support and assistance in organizing this significant event. Additionally, the festival will feature the participation of Ukrainian veterans in the prestigious Venice regatta — a historic first.
