Remembering the Past: The Genocide Museum in Odessa

27 January 2025

At the heart of Odessa lies a contemporary Genocide Museum, serving as a crucial reminder of the tragic events of the past. This city, like many others, remembers its history linked to the Holocaust. We must remember and honor all those who perished during those horrifying times, passing these testimonies to future generations through museum exhibitions and educational initiatives, as it is our shared heritage.

Recently, a unique memorial space dedicated to the genocide of various peoples was established in Odessa. A dedicated team has gathered here to preserve human stories and promote enlightenment.

The Genocide Museum is located in the former post office building at 10 Sadova Street.

On January 27, 2025, the global community will commemorate a significant date - the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. This day has been designated as International Holocaust Remembrance Day and a day to prevent crimes against humanity.
