Serhiy Basok's Art Exhibition in Odesa
The Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. S. Hrushevsky is currently hosting a personal exhibition by Serhiy Basok — the talented decorator of the Odesa Academic Musical Comedy Theater named after M. Vodianoi.
The exhibition is titled "Colors of Ukraine". It features paintings of landscapes from various regions of the country that Serhiy Basok has visited:
"Here you will find Chernihiv and the Carpathians, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy region, and Khmelnytskyi. There’s even an etude from Crimea, from before 2013. Of course, Odesa is included. The northern part of the Odesa region, with houses near the reeds. Budak is such a beautiful place. On one side is the estuary, and on the other — the sea, with a spit stretching for about 40 kilometers" — shared the artist.
The "Colors of Ukraine" exhibition offers a chance to see familiar places from a new perspective and discover new corners of our homeland through the lens of color and emotion, the organizers noted.
"I paint what I like, what I feel. The main thing is to have a positive spirit so I can convey that in my painting. If the painting 'sings' — it already works on the viewer. I put an emotion into it, and the colors sing on the canvas. This is, in my opinion, very important" — added Serhiy Basok.
